Shafa Hospital has four ICUs, including ICU-G, ICU OH, NICU and emergency ICU. This ward is structured according to the latest international standards and has provided a suitable environment to patients with sterile air supply systems and natural light.
The ICUs are equipped with the latest equipment and central monitoring and are ready to receive and provide services to critically ill patients round-the-clock. The experienced and caring staff regularly receive the necessary training during conferences in and out of the hospital.
Open-Heart ICU (OH-ICU)
Patients admitted to ICUs usually have multi-organ disorders and diseases with various specialists making prescriptions that sometimes interact, rendering them ineffective or even causing negative side-effects.
Shafa Hospital’s ICU is one of the few medical centers with a pharmacologist to address this shortcoming.
Pharmacologists specialize in studying the effects of different drugs and their combination and can prescribe the best combination of medicines for such patients.
Another of Shafa Hospital ICU’s distinguishing features is the 24-hour attendance of an anesthesiologist
All beds have monitoring, pulse oximeter, blood pressure, skin and rectal thermometers, central venous and arterial pressure transducer cable, central oxygen, and central and portable suction.
There are 4 beds outfitted with modern hemodynamic equipment for open heart surgery patients.
