Introducing the Emergency Room
Experienced physicians and committed personnel provide round-the-clock medical and nursing services to patients using the latest equipment and capabilities of emergency medicine. A major feature of Shafa Hospital’s emergency room is the simultaneous attendance of two doctors in night shift to prevent service delays.
Emergency services:
- 24-hour visit
- Serum therapy and injections
- Dressing, stitching, and splinting
- Casting and undoing cast
- Removing foreign objects from the eyes, ears, and nose
- Ear irrigation
- ECG, blood sugar test
- Blood pressure measurement and control
- Emergency surgery in accidents
- Outpatient surgeries (All limited surgeries covered)
- Temporary hospitalization (under 6 hours)
Different Sections of the Emergency Room:
- 7 active beds, one ICU bed, one CCU bed, one poisoning bed
- Two mobile ambulances
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) room
- Outpatient operating room
- Casting room
- Children’s ward
- Isolation unit (with a pre-isolation room and box of personal protective items)
- Triage
There are 60 medical staff working in the emergency room, including doctors and nurses.
