Optometry

Examining adults’ and children’s visual impairments and determining the visual field

Using an auto refractometer to prescribe glass code to correct refractive errors

Prescribing and offering contact lenses

Examining and diagnosing binocular vision disorders, concomitant squint, and non-pharmacological treatments

Diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia (in 3 to 7-year-old children)

An attending physician in Shafa Hospital also provides eye surgery services such as cataract and treatment of injuries after diagnosis.
